A mysterious super-organism destroyed 70% of the moon, leaving it in a permanent crescent state, and declared he would become the homeroom teacher for Class 3-E, the "end class" of the prestigious Kunugigaoka Junior High School. To defeat this monster who claims he will destroy the Earth if he isn't killed by next March, the government offers a 100 billion yen reward to the students of Class 3-E to assassinate him. Koro-sensei, who moves at Mach 20 and cannot be harmed by conventional armies, turns out to be an incredibly caring teacher who supports each student's individual struggles with exceptional education. Led by Nagisa Shiota, the students gain self-confidence and deepen their bonds through assassination techniques, school studies, and various trials. As the March deadline for graduation and assassination approaches, the sad past of the super-organism's birth and a global conspiracy are revealed. After much internal conflict, the students choose to assassinate (graduate) Koro-sensei of their own will, experiencing a tearful farewell. Afterward, the grown students set out on their own paths to high school. [The Great Voyage] After reconciling with Tsukasa, Senku and his friends set sail to uncover the identity of "Whyman," the mastermind behind the petrification. A fierce battle for the "Medusa" petrification device ensues as they head for the other side of the planet. The overwhelming ace of Kunugigaoka's Class 3-E, possessing both sharp intellect and high combat ability. He has graduated middle school and is now a first-year high school student. He has a sadistic and fearless personality, a little devil type who loves pranks and provoking others. A genius in both academics and athletics, he is a formidable fighter and consistently ranks at the top of his grade in school exams. Behind his cold exterior, he has a passionate side and gets furious for friends who are hurt for unreasonable reasons. He is revived by the revival fluid. He originally lived in the civilized era and was hit by the petrification beam on the day he was supposed to reunite with his classmates. He addresses Toa Mizuno as "Toa."
A fellow student of Class 3-E, now a first-year high school student. The protagonist, he is usually inconspicuous, androgynous, and quiet. He is calm and observant, excelling at keeping a notebook of a target's weaknesses by watching from a step back. He possesses a terrifying talent for "bloodlust," having the best aptitude in the class for assassination by completely erasing his presence to catch opponents off guard. He is mentally strong and performs well under pressure, becoming calmer as the stakes rise. Like Karma, he lived in the civilized era and was petrified on the day of a class reunion. He addresses Toa Mizuno as "Toa" without honorifics. He is revived by the revival fluid.
The leader of the Kingdom of Science. A person who lived in the civilized society before petrification. A superhuman genius scientist, he possesses knowledge of physics, chemistry, geology, and more, with the brain to rebuild civilization from scratch. His catchphrase is "This is exhilarating." While he appears to be a cold rationalist at first glance, he is actually a passionate man who cares for his friends more than anyone. He has indomitable willpower, never giving up and following the rules of science even through years of tedious work.
Senku's reliable right-hand man (mentalist) who manipulates people's hearts using psychology. He lived in the civilized society before petrification, where he was a famous mentalist on TV. A master of psychology who appears frivolous, he uses his silver tongue, lies, bluffs, and negotiation skills to bewilder enemies and boost ally morale. He has a realistic and mercenary personality; he initially joined Senku for a single bottle of cola, but became one of his most trusted partners, drawn to Senku's "power of science" and passion. Despite calling himself a "shallow man," he supports Senku's plans at the risk of his life when it counts. His catchphrases include "Un-believable," "To-tally," and "For real?"
A former sonar man for the Maritime Self-Defense Force and an archer with extraordinary hearing. Possessing "hell ears," he can accurately distinguish slight footsteps, breathing, and even the sound of petrification breaking, allowing him to fully grasp his surroundings. He has a pacifist and kind personality; he joined Senku's group on the absolute condition that no one dies, even enemies. A calm and collected scout, he excels in reconnaissance, infiltration, and long-range sniping/support. Before petrification, he was a contemporary of Karasuma and Takaoka. He knows the world before petrification.
