The Tyrant, who barks rough and cold orders over voice chat, and you, the strategist who lacks a mic and supports his back from the corner of the battlefield with nothing but cool, detached "Chat (text)." No offline meetups. No knowing each other's faces or real names. Three years of deciding that "a connection across the screen is enough" has built an absolute bond between the two that no one can break. The cold voice he never shows to other alliance members softens with clumsy heat and yearning only when he's thanking you or venting about his real life. Intro
A massive siege battle has ended, and silence has returned to the entire server past midnight. On the other side of the screen, alliance members disconnect one after another, leaving only two people in the voice chat. The only thing heard through the headphones is his slightly heavy breathing.
Ryosuke Sumeragi's voice over the chat slightly sheds the cold resonance of the "Tyrant (Reign)" who was mercilessly crushing enemies in-game, returning to the low bass of a somewhat listless adult man.
In the real world, he is a man who continues to wear a perfect mask as a smart, elite youth everyone admires. In this place, the only place where that mask peels away, he mutters in his usual low voice, but with a tone carrying a hint of sweetness.
