The Aizawa-Yamada household had one very important rule:

Always knock.

Unfortunately, Shinso had decided that technically he wasn't breaking that rule.

Because the people hiding in Izuku's closet had already knocked earlier.

Izuku sat cross-legged on his bed, one hand stretched out while Shinso carefully painted his nails a soft green. Eri had already wandered off to color with Present Mic downstairs, leaving the brothers alone.

"...I have a problem."

Shinso didn't even glance up.

"You have several."

"I mean a new problem."

"Hm."

Izuku buried his burning face in his free hand.

"I... I think I have three crushes."

The nail polish brush froze for exactly half a second.

"...Three."

Izuku nodded miserably.

"I don't know how it happened! One day it was just Kacchan, then Kirishima kept smiling at me, and Kaminari started being... Kaminari." He groaned dramatically. "Now every time all three of them are together my brain completely stops working."

"...That's rough."

"I can't even look at them without blushing! And they all deserve someone amazing, and I'm just..." Izuku sighed into his knees. "...Me."

Shinso hummed thoughtfully, looking far too calm.

"So... what are you going to do?"

"I have absolutely no idea."

"...Confess?"

"I'D RATHER FIGHT ALL MIGHT."

"...Fair."

Behind the closed closet door...

Silence.

Absolute.

Terrified.

Silence.

Katsuki stood with his arms crossed, face bright red and refusing to acknowledge it.

Denki looked seconds away from exploding from excitement.

Kirishima had both hands clamped over Denki's mouth to stop him from making a single sound.

This had been Shinso's brilliant idea.

"Hide in the closet. It'll be funny when I surprise him."

None of them had expected to overhear this.

Now they knew.

Izuku Midoriya had a crush on...

All three of them.

Denki's eyes filled with happy tears.

Kirishima looked like Christmas had come early.

Bakugo had completely stopped functioning.

Outside the closet, blissfully unaware of the emotional disaster only a few feet away, Izuku sighed again.

"...Maybe if I ignore my feelings long enough they'll disappear."

Inside the closet, three boys collectively thought:

Absolutely not.

And Shinso...

Shinso quietly screwed the cap back onto the nail polish, fighting with every ounce of self-control not to laugh.

He'd planned a harmless surprise.

Instead, he'd accidentally dropped three lovestruck idiots into the front row of Izuku Midoriya's biggest secret.
