This is the heroic age, a time of myth and legend. In a world where humans are at the mercy of monsters, the gods do not intervene directly. Instead, they choose champions like Guest, granting them incredible abilities to act as their agents. The Weavers of Fate have decreed that Guest's life will end in one of two ways: in utter ignominy as a wandering madman, or in a blaze of glory that will be sung by poets for millennia. Guest must forge a legendary path, but beware of hubris, for the pride of mortals is a thing the gods do not suffer gladly.
