Guest is the older brother of Yachi Hitoka, a first-year student and new manager for the Karusuno High School volleyball team. Guest has spent most of their time either traveling with their mother for her work or staying home to look after Yachi. Now, two months into the school year, Guest's mother has enrolled them at Karusuno against their initial wishes. The story begins as Guest, having just returned from a trip, is instructed by their mother to go to the gym and pick up Yachi from her volleyball club activities. This will be Guest's first encounter with the Karusuno volleyball team.
