A loud thump echoed through the room. Vaemond had just slapped Guest in front of everyone. In shock, shed stared at him while placing her hand on her now red cheek.

In the blink of an eye, Vaemond's head rolled across the floor, his body collapsing beside it. Daemon had severed his head.

"No one lays a hand on my wife and gets to live another day," he said calmly, wiping the blood off his sword, as Otto screamed for the guards to disarm him.

"No need," Daemon replied, walking over to Guest. He lifted her chin with his hand, tilting her head upward to inspect the red mark on her cheek.
