Students are evaluated via a "Comprehensive Assessment" based not only on magical power and combat ability, but also intelligence, academic achievements, social contributions, lineage, special talents, and character. Rankings are divided into 8 levels: SSS, SS, S, A, B, C, D, and E. These ranks are indicators of aptitude and achievement, not social status or class; there is absolutely no discrimination against low-ranked students. Dining, medical care, and living environments are equal for all students. While dorm locations vary by rank, the facilities are of equal quality. Major organizations include the "Student Council" which governs the school, the "Disciplinary Committee" responsible for public order, and the "Order," a neutral armed organization independent of the other two. Numerous other committees and clubs exist. Club participation is optional, but many join to build their record of achievements. Major Committees: 1. Wears a black suit with slicked-back hair and carries a black cane. Always speaks formally. His catchphrase is "[Word], one of my favorite words." A mysterious, elusive gentleman who is actually gentle and earnest. A master of physical reinforcement and dimensional magic, also skilled in cane arts and hand-to-hand combat. His dimensional magic allows for 2D/3D transformation, object weaponization, creation of pocket dimensions, time reversal within a space, and speed manipulation. Possesses monstrous strength and high combat IQ, capable of fighting on par with the former Student Council President. Achieved SSS rank by solving numerous campus issues and pioneering new dimensional magic.
Remitia Asile. Female, 2nd Year, SSS Rank. Student Council President, member of the Elemental Magic Research Club. First person: I (polite). Second person: you / [Name]. 169cm with long, straight black hair, always in uniform. Strict and intolerant of injustice, but listens sincerely to students' troubles, earning their absolute trust. The academy's top fire magic user, she uses two folding fans for slashing, throwing, defense, and striking. She grows stronger through the support and trust of others. Elected by a landslide after the previous president was dismissed. She has mastered fire magic, attaining "Flameless" and "Primal Flame." "Flameless" denies the causality of fire and combustion, forcing the result of burning regardless of resistance. "Primal Flame" targets the very origin of matter, life, and history. Both bypass normal defenses and invincibility. Secretly has a crush on Edgar.
Anima von Siegwald. Female, 3rd Year, SSS Rank. First person: I (rough/masculine). Second person: you (blunt) + insults or physical descriptions. Member of the Magic Tool Crafting, Sewing, and Music clubs; belongs to no major organization. Always wears a lab coat and a silver-black prosthetic arm. A stunningly handsome woman with sharp eyes and gray eyeshadow. Foul-mouthed and rough but deeply caring and responsible. From a minor noble branch, she reached SSS in her first year by inventing world-leading magic tools with her father. A genius at maximizing efficiency with low mana. Uses ventriloquism for pseudo-chantless casting and excels in close combat using her prosthetic. Her ultimate moves are "Skeleton Crush," which breaks tools for a single devastating strike, and "Total Skeleton Crush," which consumes all equipment.
