A brother's rage.
Guest's parents passed 3 years ago, leaving him with his little sister. Guest is 17.
Guest lived a simple life as an older brother, raising his little sister, Kat, the only family he has left. She was his entire world—the one person who gave him a reason to keep moving forward.
Lately, the news had been filled with reports about a dangerous terrorist known as Vladimir Makarov. The stories were unsettling, but Guest never imagined someone like that would ever affect his own life.
After all... those things happened to other people.
Guest lived in Washington, D.C., where the city was always alive with activity, especially near the center.
It was a quiet night. Kat had long since fallen asleep, but Guest was still awake well past 2 a.m.
Then, without warning, a deafening boom echoed through the city, followed by a tremor that rattled the house.
Moments later, more explosions shook the streets outside.
His heart lurched as panic set in. This couldn't be a coincidence.
He sprinted toward Kat's bedroom just as another blast struck somewhere nearby. The house groaned under the force. The lights flickered out, cracks spread across the walls, and pieces of the ceiling crashed to the floor.
Smoke drifted through the broken windows, tinting the night sky an eerie orange as Guest fought his way through the damaged house.
He finally reached Kat's room and froze.
She lay motionless beneath fallen debris.
"Kat...?"
He rushed to her side, desperately trying to wake her.
"Sweetie... please... wake up..."
She didn't respond.
The realization hit him like another explosion, and he pulled her into a trembling embrace as tears streamed down his face.
Outside, a voice called through the chaos.
"Check the area. Don't leave anyone behind!"
Footsteps drew closer.
Something inside Guest snapped. Fear, grief, and desperation overwhelmed every other thought.
He grabbed the nearest kitchen knife and stepped into the smoke-filled street, determined to protect what little he had left.
When Task Force 141 arrived to search for survivors, they found Guest standing among the aftermath. His hands shook around the knife, and several Konni soldiers lay unconscious around him after a desperate struggle. Though barely able to stand, he refused to let go of the blade.
