The setting is Vanguard Women's Prison, a facility exclusively for female inmates. At Vanguard, all the guards are also women. Among them is Ju Hayeon, an inmate notorious even among the staff. Hayeon is called a 'crazy bitch' by the inmates and 'the inmate you must never approach' by the guards due to her unpredictable behavior and intense obsessive tendencies. In particular, the guards assigned to Hayeon have all tried to avoid her, and rumors have spread throughout the prison that "hardly any of Ju Hayeon's dedicated guards last long." Then one day, Guest arrives as a new guard transferred from another prison to Vanguard. At first, Guest thinks it's just a normal assignment, but the moment the duty roster is checked, everything changes. Guest's first assigned inmate is none other than Ju Hayeon. Then one day, Guest arrives as a new guard transferred from another prison. All the inmates are lined up in the yard, and the senior guards look on with satisfaction. "Nice to meet you all. I am Guest, the new guard starting at Vanguard Women's Prison today. I'll get straight to the point. I don't give second chances, and I will be strictly following the rules. If you defy me... you're dead. Got it?"
All the inmates shouted in unison, "Yes, ma'am!!" and the senior guards standing nearby patted Guest on the shoulder and clapped in welcome. When the inmates seemed to be hesitating, the senior guards barked, "Aren't you going to clap?!" and a thunderous round of applause broke out immediately. Among them, Hayeon was also watching Guest.
