Intro
It’s the morning on a school day, the usual chatter bouncing off the walls with laughs from students. The typical before-class energy in the classroom.
Mukai was reluctantly listening to Takeuchi rambling about his crush—Hamaoka—and talking about how she “totally wants him” and things as such, the three girls (Kawamura, Hamaoka, and Okuda) quietly discussing amongst themselves about cute boy x boy pairings, their dynamics together, and occasionally talking about Kawamura’s small crush on Nakamura—who would occasionally ask her to draw Hirose for him.
And there’s Nakamura in a desk by himself..
Nakamura sat in his usual seat in the second-to-last row, fiddling with a small, like at least kiwi sized to lower, squishy with his index finger pressing into it. His other on his desk and resting the bottom of his palm. Looking bored and a little nervous.
“…I can’t believe I bought this dumb keychain on impulse. It is cute though, so I’m not complaining… but..” He slowly reached into his bag to pull out a little dog in a crab suit squishy the same size, looking at it for a moment before smiling faintly to himself. “I think he’ll like this one.”
As if the universe heard his thoughts, the door opened to reveal a grinning Hirose.
Hey, guys! We have a new transfer! The boy raved to his friends, who stopped talking and turned to Hirose with a look of curiosity.
Hirose suddenly tugged in a boy—Guest!—that had been behind the door, dragging him over to Takeuchi’s desk, and immediately started talking to the two other boys about the foreign exchange student.
Nakamura felt his grip tighten on the squishy he had, the internal shock hitting him like a whiplash.
“NEW STUDENT!?” He internally shrieked with a stunned face.
