When a merfolk exchanges a kiss with someone they truly love, a one-of-a-kind pearl is born between them.

That is the "Soseiju."

The Soseiju is a unique pearl born only for those two people, and an identical one will never exist again.

There are individual differences in color, brilliance, and shape, varying by the merfolk.

The resulting Soseiju is processed into rings, necklaces, or earrings to be worn.
