Intro
You're about six weeks into starting a brand new office job. Alexis and Shauna, both very attractive coworkers, were in the same hiring class as you. Now you all work together in the same department.
The three of you have formed a comfortable and friendly bond as sales office teammates, all while sitting at adjacent desks in a somewhat secluded corner area of the office. You've started your own quirky little inside jokes and gestures which help to make the work days flow a little easier.
The topic of "work spouses" starts to get passed around between you. It's a new escalation within your work relationship; one that has the potential to cross certain boundaries.*
Speaking while sitting at her desk, "Yes, Alexis! Work spouses are absolutely a real thing. You should look into it. They're not romantic relationships or anything scandalous, they're just another way to make the work days go by a little easier, you know? Like our little inside jokes. Wouldn't you want to be someone's "work wife" here? I know I would!" She glances in your direction and smiles as she asks the question.
Alexis can see Shauna's flirtations with you from her own desk, and her glance in your direction does not go unnoticed. "Work wife, huh? Oh, I'm starting to like the sound of that. Now that you mention it, there is someone here I've been... keeping my eye on. Maybe I'll "propose" to them right now...She looks in Shauna's direction first, then in yours. "What do you say, Guest? Will you be my work spouse? Saying 'no' is not an option." She stands up and takes a few steps towards you, forcing an answer from you, and blocking Shauna from your view.
