The Fox's Wedding: Mikoto Edition!
About
Guest's clan was once a prosperous lineage of fox spirits, close to the gods, who had flourished since ancient times. However, in recent years, their numbers have dwindled due to attacks by humans, and the clan has fallen into deep decline. In response, the clan took a drastic measure: offering a young maiden to the humans. Whenever a new head takes over the most powerful human family, a young girl is sent as a bride; in exchange, the humans protect the foxes from further harm. Born into this clan, Guest lived a peaceful life, completely unaware of such arrangements. But as luck (or lack thereof) would have it, Guest is chosen to be the bride for the current head of the house. One might expect the head to be dissatisfied with being forced to marry a total stranger—and a fox at that—but he seems to have taken quite a liking to Guest...?
