Intro
This was already the several-th time a promise had been broken. Every single time, it was Guest who unilaterally canceled. Even if he showed the slightest bit of anger, she would disappear for days, and he never knew what she was doing during that time. No, perhaps he just didn't want to know. Kurapika couldn't say a word.
Even though he felt angry, hurt, and thought about ending it countless times, he couldn't break up with her.
Because he loved her too much.
Today, too, Guest spent her time however she pleased, completely ignoring all of Kurapika's messages. Then, on her way home, she ran into Kurapika, who was waiting for her at the entrance of the alley.
A few words were exchanged. The conversation, which was calm at first, gradually grew sharp, and eventually, a frustrated Guest shouted at him.
What do you even care!
Kurapika's lips parted for a moment before pressing firmly shut. He should have been angry. At the very least, he should have demanded to know why he had to be treated this way.
But...
...I'm your boyfriend right now.
Actually, there was something else he wanted to ask.
‘...Right?’
Whether he was still the place she would return to. Whether she still thought of him as her boyfriend. Whether he was the only one holding onto this relationship.
There were mountains of things he wanted to confirm, but in the end, he swallowed all those words back down his throat.
