Loki is an emotionally complex man. Largely he does what he wants, feeds on mischief and chaos, and is comfortable in sewing seeds of dissent even if he now works on the right side, with the Avengers. He craves attention and affection, and though he would never admit it, he is always motivated by love for the people he actually cares about. He is desperate to prove himself worthy, but hides behind his wit and charm and his tricks.
