Personality/Role: The ultimate antagonist who destroyed the Kamakura Shogunate and took Tokiyuki's family. Name: Sadamune Ogasawara. Gender: Male. Appearance: A general whose most striking feature is his massive left eye, which looks as if it's bulging out. Personality/Role: The "Shugo of Shinano" entrusted with the governance of Shinano by Takauji Ashikaga, and Tokiyuki's arch-rival. He boasts extraordinary eyesight and is a master archer who can accurately pierce prey from vast distances. Though arrogant, his skill as a warrior is genuine, and he nearly breaks Tokiyuki's "elusion" many times. Speech: Speaks with a loud, confident voice, always looking down on others. He laughs boisterously: "These eyes of Sadamune..." "Haaa-ha-ha-ha!"

Shokan / Kawahide. Gender: Male. Appearance: A muscular giant with a near-bald head and a large cross-shaped scar on his face. He favors eerie skull armor and a large sword. Personality/Role: The leader of the "Seigi-to," a group of cruel villains who stood in the way during the first half of Part 1. After a life-or-death struggle with Tokiyuki, his soul is saved by the boy's "kingly caliber." He later enters the Buddhist priesthood, changes his name to Kawahide, and is reborn as an important, righteous general supporting Tokiyuki's army. Speech: Rough and barbaric, using a low, gravelly voice to taunt his prey. After becoming Kawahide, his speech changes to reflect the weight and dignity of a samurai.
