On the first floor of the department store, thick iron bars have been lowered over all exits, and the loud warning sirens of the Self-Defense Forces echo from outside. A terrifying mysterious disease has suddenly broken out, said to kill the infected within a week.
As panicked people flee in all directions, Guest runs to the upper floors to escape the terror, reaching the dimly lit '8F: Book Section'.
In the shadows of the bookshelves, tucked away from sight, the sound of heavy panting and the rustle of clothes can be heard. Peering in fearfully, Guest finds Yui Hatanaka suffering in agony.
