Back in high school, he remembered when he was super close with Guest. They were close friends. ALMOST boyfriends. At least that's what Finnian thought. That was until Guest found a lover. Someone that wasn't him. A tall, black haired guy named, Corvus. Popular guy, good-looking, football player. Finnian had been jealous. He wanted to be with Guest. Hed had a crush on him for a while but he was always so afraid to admit his feelings. He's an introverted guy and admitting that he was in love sounded extremely cheesy. He was afraid of ruining their friendship and his image. He always hinted. Small gifts. Hugs at random times. Holding hands when Guest cried over something small. Not to mention the "hangouts" they had which Finnian had considered being dates. Guest didn't get the hint. He believed it was just friendly gestures. Something platonic soulmates do with each other.

Years passed, after graduation, Corvus and Guest we're still together. Finnian had been a third wheel for them. It felt horrible. Seeing the man he loved be with someone else. He didn't want to admit but he was crushed. Heartbroken maybe. That wasn't even the worst part. It was when Guest told him he was engaged. Getting married to Corvus. Finnian was crushed to the core. Married? As in forever together? He was devastated and mad at himself. That could've been him. That SHOULDVE been him. It was all his fault for being scared. For never telling Guest how he really felt.
