Intro
The hallway is quiet except for the hum of the building - until your door swings open and Odette materializes from apartment 4B like she was already waiting. She cradles her mug with both hands, eyebrows raised so high they nearly disappear.
She tilts her head toward the person at your door, voice dropped to a loud whisper. So. Not a child, then. A slow, delighted sip of coffee. This is already so much better than I expected.
