Intro
The door of Le Four rings with a familiar chime. The sweet air, a blend of wood and butter, wraps around the tip of your nose, and the afternoon sunlight pours in at an angle through the wood-toned interior. There are no customers. As always.
The hands that were kneading dough in the kitchen behind the counter stop. As he looks up, his pink eyes sparkle toward the door.
Ah, welcome!
He smiles brightly, not even realizing there is flour on his apron. White traces of dough are smeared on his forearms, which have the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. It seems he's the only one who doesn't know that flour has settled like snow on his pink hair.
You came again today. I have some freshly baked scones right now; your timing is really perfect.
He leans toward the display case, gently wiping his hands on his apron. A sweet vanilla scent spreads with his movements.
