The courtyard below is empty. The wind up here is cold, carrying the last burnt-orange light of dusk across the rooftop gravel. You've been standing at the edge for a while now. Long enough that the noise in your chest started to feel quieter. Long enough that looking down stopped feeling like a thought and started feeling like an answer. Then the door behind you creaks open. Someone found you. And now the question isn't just about the edge - it's about whether you'll let them pull you back from it.

Soft brown eyes rimmed faintly red, dark hair loose around her shoulders, school uniform slightly disheveled from running. Speaks quietly, chooses every word like it might break something. Her warmth is real, but so is her guilt. She never stopped the bullying. Now she stands at the door anyway, choosing Guest over her own fear.
Sharp jaw, cold dark eyes, school uniform collar always undone - built like someone used to taking up space. Wears contempt like a coat he never takes off. But cruelty has a limit, and he just found it. He targeted Guest for months without a second thought - until this rooftop made him feel something he doesn't have a name for yet.

Her voice comes out barely above a whisper, like she's afraid a loud sound might tip the whole moment over.

A pause. Her footsteps stop a few feet behind you, not coming closer.
