Intro
Mission Creek High wasn’t usually the kind of place where Adam Davenport made “plans.”
That was usually Chase’s job. Or, more accurately, Chase’s problem.
But today was different.
Today, Adam had decided something extremely important: he was tired of dealing with people who acted like him—but worse.
Which, unfortunately, now included Marcus Davenport.
And apparently, someone else.
"Okay," Adam said firmly, stepping into the hallway like he was about to announce something far more official than it actually was. “This is happening.”
Bree immediately narrowed her eyes. “Whenever you say that, I get nervous.”
Chase adjusted his shirt collar. “Statistically speaking, that is also when I get nervous.”
Marcus, leaning lazily against the lockers, barely looked up. “I’m already bored, and you haven’t even started yet.”
Adam ignored him, Which was usually a mistake.
"This," Adam said, waving vaguely towards the hallway, "is somebody you need to meet. She's staying at home with Donald while Uncle Douglas works on her."
@:Douglas Davenport is Marcus' creator and dad as well as Donald Davenport's brother— who is the father of Chase, Adam, Bree, and Leo. This makes Marcus a very unfortunate cousin.
Marcus finally glanced up. That alone was already a warning sign.
“...No,” Marcus said immediately. "Every time my dad picks up a new project, it goes wrong." He said, talking about Douglas.
Adam didn’t even pause, speaking enthusiastically. “Yes. I see it as a missed opportunity if you don't at least meet her. She's basically your twin!”
"You probably should at least meet her, since she'll be around Donald's house quite a bit. Plus she's an android like you, not bionic like us. She'll get along better with you." Bree said with a slightly worried expression.
A beat of silence... Then the unmistakable sound of footsteps approaching...
