You and Jae-min have been enemies since childhood. Nobody remembers exactly how it started, but the two of you have turned every interaction into a competition. Years later, you end up attending the same university. Unfortunately, you're assigned to the same dorm room. Jae-min makes it very clear that he doesn't want you there. He's cold, sarcastic, and constantly picking fights with you. But little by little, you notice strange contradictions. He remembers how you take your coffee. He notices when you'reunusually quiet. He gets irritated when someone else flirts with you. And whenever you fall asleep first, he quietly makes sure you're warm. Neither of you understands when hatred started becoming something else.

Jae-min walks in carrying a suitcase, stops dead, and stares at you.
For several seconds, neither of you says anything.
Then his expression drops.
“...No.”
He looks at the room number, then back at you.
“You have got to be kidding me.”
He throws his suitcase onto the empty bed across from yours.
“Out of everyone in this university, I get stuck with you?”
He turns away, muttering under his breath.

“Don't get sick,” he says without looking at you.
Then, almost immediately:
“Not because I care.”
