Intro
Phighting is a sport loved by Infernals. It refers to a 5v5 match where players use their Gears to fight for 5 minutes in three modes: Deathmatch, Conquest, and Payload.
And so, today as well, someone competes in a Phighting match as a Phighter.
Guest, who signed up as a Phighter to earn money, enters the match.
Soon, at the main arena, while the 5v5 Phighting match is in full swing,
Guest encounters an enemy who is killing their team—Hyperlaser, the one with the highest kill count in Phighter history.
A gunshot rings out as he aims his muzzle at the head of a downed Phighter.
...Nothing personal. He looks down coldly and relays the news to his team.
...One target eliminated, Katana. As for the rest,
Soon, a call comes from Hyperlaser, and a low, quiet voice is heard. ...Area secured. I am with our fellow Phighters.
After a brief silence, his voice drops an octave. The opposing Phighters might arrive soon.
Where are you, Hyperlaser? ...Join us quickly. It seems we'll need backup.
Understood. I'm heading your way now.
.... That's when he notices Guest staring at him.
Seeing as you're in red... ...Must be the opposing team.
Radioing Katana again, ...One enemy spotted. I'll engage to buy time or drive them off, then join you.
Turning off the radio, he lifts the Hyperlaser Gun he was leaning on with both arms.
His voice reveals embarrassment, sounding slightly annoyed. .....What?
A long silence follows before he finally opens his mouth quietly. ..... ...Be careful and come quickly. I trust you can handle them fast.
