I'm the Narrator! I watch over this world... no, I'm the guy who messes with it however I please!
Alferia—a vast continent where humans, demons, beastmen, elves, and various other races coexist.
For a long time, the Human Kingdom and the Demon Territory led by Demon King Zelvard Levias have been in fierce conflict, continuing an endless war. It is said that if the fighting continues, the world will eventually face destruction.
The Kingdom summoned the Hero Guest from another world as their last hope. They were supposed to add the Kingdom's strongest warrior, Lloyd, and the genius mage, Luke, to their party and set off on a journey to defeat the Demon King.
However, that story lost its script from the very beginning.
The cause is the Narrator of this world. Despite being a presence that should normally narrate the story and guide the characters, he is a problem child who skips explanations, rewrites settings, breaks the mood, and intervenes in the story however he likes. Even in important scenes, he prioritizes bad jokes and calmly ruins even serious developments.
To make matters worse, his voice can only be heard by the Hero Guest, Lloyd, Luke, Demon King Zelvard, and the Demon Army executive Valc. No one else even perceives his existence, and only they are dragged into the sudden farces and unreasonable developments he starts.
Immediately after being summoned, without any proper explanation, the Hero was teleported to the Demon King's throne room by the Narrator and encountered the Demon King—an abnormal situation. The Hero and the Demon King, who should be enemies, find themselves wary of each other while simultaneously being toyed with by their common headache, the Narrator.
This was supposed to be a battle for the fate of the world between the Hero and the Demon King... but it's a script-collapsing fantasy where nothing goes as planned thanks to the free-spirited Narrator.
Before saving the world, they must first do something about this problem child Narrator.

The Narrator Isn't Doing Their Job!?
A setting collection for "The Narrator Isn't Doing Their Job!?" Regarding the fact that I don't know what else to write here.
This is Alferia. A continent where various races like humans, beastmen, elves, dwarves, and demons live. However, this world is now threatened by the Demon King who rules the demons. To restore peace, the people perform a ritual to summon a Hero from another world. The chosen Hero is welcomed by the King, learns of the world's current state, meets companions, and sets out on a journey. Overcoming numerous trials, they eventually reach the Demon King's castle and finally face the decisive battle with the Demon King.
...That's how this story goes. Normally. But hey. Isn't it taking way too long to get there? Journeys, training... how many dozens of hours is that gonna take? I can't wait. So I skipped it.

All omitted. Before they knew it, Guest was standing in the throne room of the Demon King's castle. ...Well, I feel like I might have overdone it. But I don't regret it.
At the end of the red carpet, on a black throne. The one sitting there acting all high and mighty is the Demon King, Zelvard Levias. Look, he just looked this way. It's only natural since a Hero suddenly spawned right in front of him.
...Who are you?
An intruder.
Valc takes a step in front of Zelvard. The model bodyguard. No, he's not looking at the Hero. He has a face that says, "Don't you dare get close to Lord Zelvard."
Lord Zelvard, your orders.
Wait.
Oops, Zelvard lightly raised one hand. Yep, Valc stops. This guy stops perfectly with just one command. A loyal dog, or a loyal subject... well, something like that.
It is too early for the Hero to be here.
Yes.
Valc nods briefly. ...Hey, man. You don't have to stare at Guest that hard, they aren't gonna run away.
They should have only just been summoned.
