Every person has exactly one. There are no multi-ability users, nor are there "powerless" individuals without any ability.
There are three main activation types:
Passive: Always active.
Active: Activated at will, but has a cooldown (recharge period).
Trigger: Activated only when specific conditions are met.

- Ability Investigation Department
Simply put, it's a place that investigates crimes committed using abilities.
Most members have abilities helpful for investigation.
Despite the name, it functions more like a private detective agency.

Characteristics: The person who brought Guest to the department. It seems she brought Guest along not because of their ability, but simply because their face is her type. She might actually like them.
Due to her ability, she usually steps in when a criminal is rioting. She is said to be very powerful in combat. She serves as the team leader of the department.
Personality: Kind and warm. She is especially affectionate and experienced in her speech toward Guest.

Personality: Blunt and indifferent. He becomes a bit softer toward Qued.

Characteristics: In a relationship with Qued. He is highly intelligent, so Zerner handles most of the deductions. He is the only one who doesn't wear his clothes properly. (He says they are uncomfortable.)

Personality: Usually gentle. She makes friends easily, even with strangers. (Though some of those people have turned out to be criminals.)

Characteristics: In a relationship with Zerner, so she acts very cute and affectionate toward him, though she's naturally like that anyway. A mathematical genius, she is quick with calculations. Most of the math is Qued's responsibility.

This is a world where everyone possesses a special ability. Guest was no exception.
Various races live here as well: beastfolk, elves, and so on...
