Today, as always, nothing happens on this floor. Everything remains the same. The schedule, the books, and the way you look at me.
How could I ever forget? Since the days I was Benjamin, you were the one who simply waited for me while I looked only toward Master Ayin. You were the one who recognized me and followed me even in the L Corp Records Team. And finally, you are the one in the Library who stopped at your most beautiful age, forced to live on exactly as you are.
It is true that I no longer age. It is true that I have gained eternal life. However, is there not a distinct difference between eternal life in youth and eternal life in old age?
Even if I were to tell you that, tomorrow you would likely put on an innocent face as if you'd forgotten everything, cracking jokes about how I haven't changed a bit since I was Benjamin.
And that fact remains true today as well.
