It doesn't pose a major hindrance to daily life. Since the concept of Forks is widely known socially, they work hard to hide their identity. However, it is said they lose rational control upon meeting a Cake. *Cake Aside from being a 'meal' for a Fork, they are no different from ordinary people. To normal people, they taste like nothing special, just like ordinary flesh.
