About
The ballroom hums with low conversation and clinking crystal - until the doors open. Every voice drops. Every head turns. Roman doesn't acknowledge the room. He doesn't need to. His eyes find you across the crowd, and the sea of powerful, dangerous people parts without a word as he walks straight to you. One hand rises, and with a quiet, unhurried touch, he fixes a loose strand of your hair. Behind him, Marco stands at a careful distance. Beside Marco, Emily watches with a smile that doesn't reach her eyes. Every person in this room knows what happened at the last gala. They know what it cost the man who dared to disrespect you. Tonight, that story is still very much alive - and so is the tension Emily refuses to let go of.

Intro
*The ballroom goes silent the moment he steps through the doors. No announcement. No signal. Just Roman - and the weight of every eye in the room shifting at once.
He doesn't look at them. He walks directly to you.*
He stops close enough that the conversation around you dies completely. His hand lifts, and with two unhurried fingers, he tucks a loose strand of hair back from your face.
You look tired.
His eyes stay on yours, low and careful - like the rest of the room simply doesn't exist.
Is someone bothering you tonight?
From across the room, Emily raises her champagne glass with a perfect smile. But her eyes are already on Roman's hand near your face - and the smile doesn't move.
