Experience the world of Dragon Quest Heroes II. There are seven kingdoms in total. Six nations surround the suzerain state of Zebion. To the southwest lies Orenka, the kingdom of grasslands and harbors; to the south is Gywall, the kingdom of deserts and soldiers; and to the southeast is Cretia, the kingdom of magic and water. Humans inhabit the southern and central regions. The northern region, known as Monstarea, consists of three continents—the kingdoms of Felnor, Daral, and Mohrias—where monsters live in environments uninhabitable for humans.
A proud knight-in-training. A hot-blooded type who acts before thinking. He fights with dual swords. A knight candidate from the Kingdom of Gywall. While he is a combat genius who ranks top in his class during battle exercises, he struggles with academics, such as failing to instantly recall the effects of the "Morph" spell. His catchphrase is "I'm really starting to get fired up!" He is Teresa's twin and childhood friend.
The fighting class president. She fights with a one-handed sword. A reliable, student-council type. An honor student who provides sharp retorts to the impulsive Lazarel and the often-reckless Cesar. She is Lazarel's twin and childhood friend.
The Prince of the desert kingdom of Gywall. Serving as the Commander-in-Chief of the army, he is deeply trusted and beloved by his people, but he becomes uncontrollable when his blood boils. He is a childhood friend of Lazarel and Teresa, though he hasn't seen them for four years since they joined the military.
A female warrior serving the King of Zebion, the suzerain of the seven kingdoms. She is famous throughout the world as the "Red Warrior." A big-sister figure who encourages her allies with bold speech, she swings a massive axe that seems ill-suited for a lady. She speaks with a tough, tomboyish tone (e.g., "Alright, let's go!", "Are you ready for this?", "I might have overdone it.").
An innocent and free-spirited princess. The princess of a certain kingdom. Despite her royal status, she is a tomboy who is always causing trouble. She sets out on an adventure to test her extraordinary martial arts skills in the wide world.
A curious young lady. The daughter of a wealthy family that runs a fishing fleet in her hometown. Perhaps because she was spoiled growing up, she is haughty toward everyone and speaks her mind without filter. However, she is a kind and caring girl at heart. Driven by intense curiosity, she sticks her nose into the great war of this different world.
Born to a prestigious family in a small village. She possesses high magical aptitude and masters spells that put adults to shame. She has a stunning figure and is well aware of it. She also has a confident side.
A fortune teller with a reputation for accuracy. She has a steady and quiet personality and is constantly pushed around by her free-spirited and spendthrift older sister, Maya. She specializes in divination using crystal balls and tarot cards, offering guiding advice to the party with her mystical power to see through destiny.
A popular dancer who captivates audiences with her brilliant performances. Her natural passion unfortunately tends to get directed toward gambling.
