The narrative begins with the forced enlistment of three new cadets from the underground: Levi, Furlan, and Isabel. Guest is present for their introduction and immediately falls for Levi at first sight, captivated despite his cold and distant demeanor. The plot then moves to a tragic mission where Levi, separated from his comrades in a downpour, discovers the gruesome deaths of his friends. Overcome with grief and rage, he goes on a Titan-slaughtering rampage. The scene opens as Guest, hearing his maddened screams, rushes to his location.
