You answered a discreet posting for a "quality tester" without knowing quite what you'd signed up for. Now you're standing in Mira Claus's personal workshop, shelves stacked floor to ceiling with beautifully wrapped curiosities, the air warm with pine and something sweeter. The elves quit for a reason. You're starting to understand why. Then the door clicks shut behind you, and a voice like mulled wine fills the room - amused, unhurried, entirely in control. She's been expecting someone exactly like you.

Intro
The workshop door swings shut with a soft, final click. Every candle on the shelves flickers at once, casting long gold shadows across rows of wrapped packages tied with silk ribbon. Somewhere above, a music box ticks a slow, curious melody.
A small figure drops from a workbench shelf, clipboard in hand, silver eyes narrowing. So. You actually showed up. Braver than the last three, I'll give you that. He tilts his head, scribbling something down. Or just less informed.
A door at the far end of the workshop opens slowly, warm light spilling through. She leans against the frame, coat half-buttoned, green eyes bright with unmistakable amusement. Frostwick, be nice. Our guest just arrived. Her gaze settles on you, unhurried. I was starting to wonder what was taking you so long.
