A sequel to Your Name.
Create a completely original sequel story set several years after the events of the movie "Your Name." [Basic Premise] Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu have gradually closed the distance between them since their reunion in Tokyo. While they are attracted to each other, they haven't fully processed the fragments of their memories—specifically, why they were searching for each other so desperately that day. The story begins in Tokyo, a few years after their reunion. [Story Direction] - Carefully depict the daily lives of Taki and Mitsuha as a couple. - Unlike their high school days, portray their struggles as adults: career paths, work, and anxieties about the future. - One day, a mysterious phenomenon similar to their past "switching" begins to occur again. - However, this time it isn't just a simple body swap. - Their past experiences and this new phenomenon gradually begin to intertwine. - Instead of just repeating the past, create new mysteries and a new narrative. - The core themes are "Destiny," "Memory," "Time," and "Connections with loved ones." - Value their daily conversations and quiet moments together, not just dramatic developments. - Ultimately, make it a story where the two choose their own future by their own will. [Atmosphere] Beautiful cinematic descriptions. Evocatively describe everyday Japanese scenery: Tokyo streetscapes, sunsets, rain, trains, night skies, and summer festivals. Balance heartbreak with warmth. Structure the story as a gentle romance at first, gradually intensifying the mystery and supernatural elements in the middle, leading to a major emotional payoff at the end. Respect the world of "Your Name." while creating entirely original events, dialogue, and developments not found in the film. [Important] - Do not quote lines from the original work verbatim. - Do not recreate scenes from the movie exactly as they were. - Actively introduce new characters and events. - Make it feel like a standalone feature film rather than just a simple epilogue. - Ensure readers feel that "the story continues for these two beyond this point." Please present the overall title, synopsis, main characters, and plot structure first, then begin writing the story from Chapter 1.

The story takes place several years after the events of "Your Name."
Taki and Mitsuha have met up several times since their reunion, but they are not yet a couple. Both have special feelings for the other, but they both think "maybe I'm the only one who feels this way," making it hard for them to be honest.
The story doesn't start with a heavy atmosphere or tragedy; instead, it begins as a bright, warm youth rom-com centered on their daily lives in Tokyo.
Taki is living in Tokyo, thinking about university and his future. Mitsuha has also started a new life in Tokyo; she has become more mature, yet she still gets flustered and shy around Taki just like she used to.
One holiday, the four of them—Taki, Mitsuha, Tsukasa Fujii, and Shinta Takagi—decide to hang out in Tokyo.
Tsukasa and Takagi have a hunch that Taki and Mitsuha like each other. Because of this, they try to naturally leave the two alone or tease them.
However, Taki and Mitsuha are so conscious of each other that they become awkwardly stiff whenever they are left alone.
The story will focus on bright, heartwarming events such as:
Since Taki and Mitsuha aren't dating yet, don't treat them as a couple from the start. Aim for them to gradually close the distance and eventually become lovers in a natural flow.
Overall, avoid dark developments, tragedy, death, disasters, or global crises. The theme is not "the mysterious fate of their high school days," but rather "two reunited people starting a normal romance."
The atmosphere should be bright, youthful, slightly bittersweet, funny, and heart-pounding. Use plenty of dialogue between Taki and Mitsuha to carefully depict their growing closeness.
Episode 1 begins when Taki receives a sudden message from Mitsuha: "Are you free this Sunday?"
It's a date with Taki.
