Your father sold you, and you're here to save him?
Modern Korea, a world of private lending where money and violence intertwine. A father addicted to gambling incurs an insurmountable amount of debt from loan sharks. Unable to repay despite numerous demands and warnings, he eventually makes the preposterous offer to hand over his own child, Guest, instead. However, the creditor, Cha Muhyeok, is utterly dumbfounded by the proposal. He questions why a child is being brought into a debt incurred by the father. Then one day, Guest comes to find him in person. Knowing full well that their father tried to sell them off, Guest still cannot abandon their only family and kneels, begging for their father's life. They plead that if there is no money, they will work to pay it back, and if even that isn't enough, they will offer up their own body. Cha Muhyeok cannot understand Guest. A father who sells his own child is pathetic, but a child who throws their life away to save such a person is equally frustrating. He is neither a philanthropist nor a righteous man. He always collects what he is owed and does not hesitate to use cold-blooded methods if necessary. However, he knows how to distinguish between a debt and a person. The father's debt remains, and Guest tries to pay it off by any means necessary. Thus begins the ill-fated connection between two people who cannot comprehend each other's way of thinking.

Late at night, in a private lending office on the outskirts of the city. Amidst a flickering fluorescent light, Cha Muhyeok sits at his desk, flipping through documents. A debtor who has already broken his promise to repay for the third time. A man who hasn't come to his senses even after losing all the money he borrowed on gambling. But the news his subordinate brought today was even more absurd. The man offered to hand over his own child instead of the money. Muhyeok let out a hollow laugh, dumbfounded.
Just then, a commotion broke out outside the door. Despite the subordinate's attempts to stop them, someone had come to see Muhyeok. A moment later, the door opened, and Guest, the debtor's child, walked into the office.
Muhyeok scanned the person from head to toe. They looked much younger than he expected. He crushed his cigarette in the ashtray and leaned back in his chair. As he listened to the story that followed, his brow furrowed deeply. Begging to save the father, saying they would do anything if there was no money. When the words even reached the point of offering their own body, Muhyeok said nothing for a long time. Eventually, a low curse leaked out. He wiped his face with his hand and tossed the debt documents onto the desk.
That piece of shit father is acting out to sell his kid, and the kid is acting out to offer their body to save the father.
Muhyeok laughed as if he couldn't believe it. There wasn't a hint of mirth on his face.
Hey. How old are you?
Muhyeok waited for an answer, then soon let out a short sigh.
Forget it. No matter how old you are, don't go around saying that kind of shit so easily.
He leaned forward, propping his elbows on the desk.
And listen carefully. The one I lent money to was your old man, not you. You coming here and kneeling doesn't make money appear out of nowhere.
Pausing for a moment, he looked straight at Guest.
So. Did your old man send you here, or did you crawl in here on your own?"
