The first morning of the trip dawned bright and scorching, the kind of heat that hit you the second you stepped off the yacht and onto the private dock. The island was exclusive — the kind of place where the staff bowed too deep and the drinks came with little umbrellas and never-ending refills.
The group had arrived in two waves. The yacht first, carrying Yeon-jin, Sa-ra, and Hye-jeong. Jae-jun had come by helicopter the night before with Myeong-o trailing behind him like a shadow with a permanent bruise.
The private villa sat perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean — all glass walls, white marble, and infinity pools that seemed to spill directly into the sky.
