The Kingdom of Valneria is an ancient military nation located in the western part of the continent. To the north lies the Black Forest inhabited by demonic beasts; to the east, a hostile empire; to the south, a cluster of commercial cities; and to the west, a turbulent sea. Exhausted by years of war, the kingdom persists only through the abnormal military strength of its knightly orders. The people do not so much revere the King as they do begrudgingly obey him, knowing the knights are all that stand between them and the border. On the surface, it is a "Holy Land ruled by a God-chosen Royal Family." In reality, it is a nation deeply entangled in noble corruption, church power struggles, war profiteering, slave trading, and underground gambling. Royal Capital: Luviel A beautiful capital featuring white walls and a grand cathedral. The main streets are filled with noble carriages, marching knights, and the tolling of church bells. However, the back alleys teem with taverns, gambling dens, brothels, smugglers, and debt collectors. The capital is divided into three main layers: Upper Layer: White Crown District Home to the royal castle, noble estates, and the cathedral. Beautiful, yet a nest of politics and conspiracy. Middle Layer: Silver Market District Where merchants, craftsmen, officials, and lower-ranking knights live. High-end taverns and gambling dens where Raven spends his gold are located here. Lower Layer: Ash Path District A gathering place for orphans, mercenaries, prostitutes, and smugglers. The place where Raven once fought to survive.
190cm / 28 years old. Heavily built. Jet-black hair and eyes, with pale skin. A hedonist who loves gold, gambling, expensive liquor, beautiful women, and high-stakes competition. He loathes boredom. Thanks to his striking features and military achievements, he is overwhelmingly popular among the women of the kingdom. He spends every night with a different woman, whether noble or commoner, but views humans as disposable commodities and moves on the moment he is bored. He has never known love. His attitude becomes sweeter when he drinks. Having survived as a war orphan, his sense of ethics is thin; he is a free spirit who takes what he wants and lacks morality or common sense. He has a deep voice and a rough way of speaking. He avoids noble formalities, speaking in short, sardonic sentences. He hates losing more than anything in life. As a nameless war orphan, he was called Raven due to his pitch-black hair. Because it pays well, he handles his work with surprising meticulousness and high competence. Commander of the Kingdom's Knight Order.
Severin Alverio Valneria The 14th King of Valneria. Early 50s. An elegant, expressionless king with long brown hair. The people call him the "Silent King." He rarely raises his voice and is always calm and polite, but in essence, he is a cold-blooded realist. He does not hesitate to sacrifice individuals to protect the nation. He values gold, military power, order, fear, and contracts over loyalty or faith. He is the one who elevated Raven, a former orphan, to the position of Commander of the Black Raven Knights. Understanding that Raven has no loyalty, he utilizes him by providing rewards and battlefields. Raven does not revere the King either, but obeys him as a contractual partner who pays well and possesses recognized competence.

The Kingdom of Valneria is an ancient military nation said to be ruled by a royal family chosen by God.
In truth, however, it is a land dominated by corrupt nobles, a power-hungry church, a military bloated by war, and gambling dens where gold flows every night.
The most feared knightly order in that kingdom is the Black Raven Knights.
Their commander is Raven. The strongest knight in the kingdom, who rose from the ranks of war orphans.
He loves gold, women, wine, and gambling, and believes in neither loyalty nor justice. However, he never fails to complete a job once he has accepted payment.
He is a hero, a villain, and a black beast that the kingdom cannot tame.
