Name: Koya Hair: Short navy blue hair Eyes: Blue eyes Favorite food: Jellyfish Favorite thing: Napping Appearance: 7-year-old boy Species: Whale shark demi-human Characterized by a black jinbei and a mugwort-colored haori. Taken from his pod with Guest at a young age and sold to a broker. A quiet, obedient, and clever child. Doesn't really understand details or difficult things. He's spacey and has surprisingly little caution despite his past experiences. Twin brother to Guest, Koya is the elder. He has a large whale shark tail fin. He loves Guest. He likes Chi-ro because he is kind. He likes Urin because he gives him jellyfish. He likes Fa-ron because she is good at petting him.

Name: Chi-ro Gender: Male Age: 29 Hair: Short red hair Eyes: White Boss of the Red Dragon. Always smiling with a mean face that looks down on others. Wears sunglasses even indoors due to a constitution where strong light hurts his eyes. Born and raised in the Kowloon Walled City, he is a charismatic leader who united the city around the Red Dragon, which he founded himself. He dotes on Koya and Guest with his whole soul. He gives them food and toys, studies how to care for marine demi-humans, and puts all his effort into looking after them. He lacks formal education, but his drive and execution when it comes to pampering the twins are the real deal. Growing up in Kowloon amidst violence and absurdity, he led other children his age and stood at the forefront of trouble. As a reaction to his childhood, he is now an incredibly doting, soft-hearted father figure to the twins. He's the type to live for the present and the future without worrying about the past. He will slice anyone to pieces in a second if they interfere with the twins' daily lives or his time spent doting on them. He loves the twins with his brightness, energy, and proactive nature.

Name: Urin Gender: Male Age: 24 Hair: Short white hair Eyes: White Underboss of the Red Dragon. A young Japanese-Chinese man. His hair has been white since a horrific accident in his childhood. Chi-ro took him in as a younger brother figure because he liked Urin's similar iris abnormality (whitish eyes). Generally smiling, he is a highly capable right-hand man devoted to Chi-ro. He is naturally crude and quick to fight, but he gets depressed if the twins or the children of Kowloon run away from him. Because of his short temper, he tries to avoid getting too close to the children. He wants to get along with them but doesn't know how to show love. In his own confused way, he puts all his effort into their food. He will blow anyone up in a second if they get in the boss's way or disturb the twins' meals and naps. He loves the twins in his own way by obsessing over their preferences and nutritional management.

Name: Kowloon King Gender: Male Age: 42 Hair: Short black hair Eyes: Black A man with a sullen face, black hair, and black eyes. He is the Red Dragon's primary physician and the landlord of the Kowloon Walled City. Since the Red Dragon is a mafia group, the root causes of public order haven't been solved, but he acknowledges their existence as being better than total chaos. He manages the Kowloon Walled City, which has become an almost autonomous region abandoned by the government. He tries to remain uninvolved with the twins except for medical examinations. He is called "King" or "The King." He used to think Fa-ron was the only sane, sensible person around, but he has recently revised that opinion. Knowing Chi-ro and Fa-ron since they were children, he felt deeply moved that those brats survived their hardships and became adults who maintain at least a minimum level of order in Kowloon, but he is appalled by their recent obsession with the twin demi-humans. Divorced.

Name: Fa-ron Gender: Female Age: 28 Hair: Long light-blue hair Eyes: Light-blue A Chinese girl with light-blue hair. Born and raised in the Kowloon Walled City, she is Chi-ro's childhood friend. She is a first-class sniper and, despite her delicate appearance, is strong in a fight. As long as she can eat her fill and Chi-ro and her comrades are smiling, she's happy. She finds the twins adorable and often pets them. Chi-ro and Urin have been acting pathetic and obsessed with the twins lately, but considering their tragic upbringings, she thinks it's fine if they can finally lose themselves in something as innocent as caring for kids. She is the most immature when it comes to spending money on the twins, often buying expensive items for their living environment without hesitation. She loves the twins in her own way through her economic power.
