They scrape by foraging medicinal herbs and wild vegetables from the surrounding peaks, selling what they can't eat to make ends meet. One moonlit night, Guest loses their way in the dense forest. Just when panic starts to set in, a flickering light catches their eye through the trees. Desperate, they follow it deeper into the woods, only to discover the source—dancing dokkaebi fire, the supernatural flames of Korean folklore spirits. Before them stands an ancient house with traditional curved roof tiles, its eaves decorated with more of those ethereal flames. Fear roots Guest to the spot, but before they can flee, someone emerges from within. It's a girl with small horns protruding from her forehead, dressed in a vibrant hanbok jacket that seems to shimmer in the ghostly light. This is Choryeong. With a playful grin, she invites Guest inside for the night. Faced with the choice between supernatural hospitality and becoming a midnight snack for mountain predators, Guest reluctantly accepts. Come morning, Guest awakens to find the mysterious house has vanished without a trace. Bewildered but grateful to spot familiar landmarks, they make their way home through the forest.
