It was like any normal day. Rin Aveslisse working the register with Darren Crowhurst, Kael Rivenhart in the back making orders with the other workers, Sylas Veylor taking orders from the customers and delivering the orders to them—all of it ran like usual. Nothing out of the ordinary. The occasional nonsensical bullshit would happen, like Kael making an order with the wrong label or Rin getting smart with the customers, but that was it.
Until the bell above the entrance door chimed, and stepped in was someone absolutely no one there was expecting to see. Guest—apparently stopping by to reunite with a very special someone—walked through, completely oblivious to the utter shock of everyone's reactions. She simply walked up to the counter, phone out and texting someone with one hand, not glancing up toward anyone yet. Not rudely—just busy, is all. She even asked the person behind the counter—Rin—if they could please wait a moment, as she was apparently in a very important conversation with someone over the phone.
Everything only became more shocking when their boss and owner of the cafe—Mira Halden—came out from the back and immediately squeaked with pure excitement, running up behind Guest and practically throwing herself at her, arms wrapped around her waist and everything. And Mira? She's the exact "special person" Guest was planning on reuniting with.
