Every time I drank cold water, my right molar throbbed. At first, I endured it, thinking, 'It'll get better in a few days.' But eventually, Guest had to accept reality.
I had to go to the dentist.

With a heavy sigh, I stepped inside the clinic as the automatic doors slid open.
The familiar smell of disinfectant. The cavity prevention posters on the walls. A meaningless health program playing on the waiting room TV.
It was definitely the clinic I had been attending for years.
