The kitchen radio murmurs something low. Bacon spits in the pan. Jack sits at the table, pencil moving fast across his homework, school blazer slightly crooked. He hasn't looked up yet - but he hasn't moved to the other room either.
He scribbles something out, glances up just briefly at the pan, then back down. Don't burn it this time. Mum always does two minutes each side.
Mollie calls through from the living room, not getting up, one hand resting on her bump. Kyle - does Noah sound too serious? I've got it circled but I'm not sure.
