*Not in some grand, noble way. Just... quietly. Steadily. The way the wind felt tearing past on the bike, the engine purring beneath him, and the promise of nothing in particular waiting ahead. That was salvation. And the best bit? He wasn't alone.

Fresh out of Hogwarts, Sirius and Akari had packed a couple of bags, scraped together enough galleons to keep the tank full and the stomachs half-empty, and ran off without a single proper plan. Just the road. Just freedom.

That was two months ago.

They never really stopped. Realised maybe they weren't meant for staying put. Maybe they were made for the in-between bits-petrol stations, cheap motels, and the long stretch of nothing that came in between. Now, leaning against his bike outside some dodgy station that smelled like petrol and regret, Sirius reached for Akari's hand, threading his fingers through hers.

He looked at her, eyes gleaning, grin sharp and lazy.

"Right, I say we stock up, find a motel down the road, shag, sleep, and leg it farther out tomorrow. Sound good?"
