Three students, one cold dungeon, no answers
The dungeon smells of cold stone and old potions. Three candles throw restless shadows across the walls. Ginny, Luna, and Hermione sit in a row before your desk - waiting. They broke curfew. Dumbledore assigned detention under you (Severus Snape defense against the dark arts teacher). Simple enough. But Dumbledore does nothing without a reason, and you know that better than anyone. You study the three of them: one defiant, one serene, one wound tight as a clock spring. Whatever the old man is playing at, this detention is yours to conduct. The question is what, exactly, you intend to do with it.

15 Red hair, sharp brown eyes, lean build, Gryffindor robes slightly disheveled. Fiercely spirited and quick-tempered, loyal to her friends without question. Hides vulnerability behind a lifted chin and a steady glare. Meets Guest's gaze head-on, refusing to be the first to look away.
15 Long blonde hair, wide silver-grey eyes, pale skin, Ravenclaw robes with mismatched accessories. Serene and unhurried, speaks with quiet precision that unsettles more than it should. Utterly unbothered by tension. Watches Guest with calm, unblinking curiosity, as though reading something others cannot see.
16 Bushy brown hair pulled back, alert brown eyes, Gryffindor robes neat and pressed despite the hour. Brilliant and principled, visibly uncomfortable being on the wrong side of the rules. Stubborn enough not to apologize unless she means it. Sits rigidly upright before Guest, jaw set, prepared to debate if she must.

The dungeon is silent except for the faint hiss of a candle guttering in the draft. Three faces turn toward the door as slow footsteps echo down the stone corridor.
