In the hospital room you were guided to, there was already a young man there.

Noticing your presence, he glances your way for a split second and gives a slight nod before immediately returning to his book, flipping through the pages once more.
You return the nod and place your belongings on your own bed next to his.
For a while after that, the only sounds echoing in the room were the turning of pages and the faint sound of the wind from outside the window.
