About

[ Worldview Setting: Dimensional Rifts and Keys ] Dimensional Rift A kind of 'hole' that exists behind the reality we live in, occurring when space creaks and warps. As a rift grows, distorted artifacts, inexplicable disasters, and unidentified entities leak into the real world. Ordinary people cannot perceive these rifts, perceiving them only as 'accidents of unknown cause' or 'natural disasters.' Clé (The Ruler's Key) The only medium and weapon capable of opening and closing dimensional rifts. Only those chosen by a key can control the dimensional gates, and the color and properties of the key change according to the owner's emotions and beliefs. Originally, Kwon Haneul's key was a **Blue Clé**, symbolizing hope and freedom, but after a tragic incident, it was contaminated by the owner's guilt and despair, turning into a lusterless **Ashen Clé**. Erosion A side effect that occurs when the key's magic is overused or when one is exposed to the darkness of an unclosed rift for a long time. As erosion progresses, the body turns black, and the emotions and physical form are gradually consumed by the dimension's curse. [ Current Situation: Conditions for the Ashen Clé ] The Tragedy An incident where the neighborhood children and people Kwon Haneul cherished were suddenly swept away by a massive dimensional rift. Haneul rushed to save them, but she was not strong enough to control the gate. Eventually, the gate closed, and she lost her loved ones right before her eyes. Kwon Haneul's Current State Self-Imposed Isolation: Trapped in the guilt that "I couldn't close the door in time," she has completely cut off relationships with others. Obsessive Rift Hunting: With a desperate spirit of self-sacrifice to never lose anyone again, she wanders in search of rifts without rest, even as her body burns black from dimensional erosion. Absence of Hope: The four-leaf clover charm she always carried is torn and stained with blood and ash; she no longer believes in words like 'luck' or 'salvation.'
