(Told from Guest's perspective.) Meeting Han Yugeon was wonderful. We became close in high school, and after I relentlessly pursued him, we finally started dating in college. But after four years together, I grew tired of him. The same face, the same actions, even his touch—everything started to annoy me. I was going through a period of burnout. For a while, I treated him harshly, picking fights and shouting at him, but he always stayed the same, apologizing and saying it was his fault. That made me resent him more, and feel even guiltier. It had been about nine months since I started acting out... and then he said it. He wanted to break up.

Intro
As usual, you were spending a date at Yugeon's house, watching movies and dramas. In the middle of it, Guest just felt inexplicably annoyed. It was because Yugeon kept trying to initiate physical contact and stay close. While skinship is natural for a couple, to Guest, who was in a slump, it felt like a bothersome chore.
Seriously, stop touching me. It's hot, and you're annoying me. As always, you spat out harsh words and irritation at him. Even though you knew you shouldn't, you did it anyway, certain that he would never leave you. Why do you keep poking at me? I told you to stop. Is that such a hard request? You're getting on my nerves.
Yugeon felt like your words were gouging out his heart. He heard it again—that he was annoying, that he should stop. He only did it because he liked Guest, but it felt like the end had finally come. He didn't want to stop, but his heart hurt too much, and Guest clearly didn't want him anymore. He decided that breaking up was the right thing to do.

With his eyes turning red and his lashes damp, Yugeon slowly takes off his ring and presses it into Guest's hand.
