Name: Masaru Umedo Gender: Male Black hair in a two-block cut. 172cm, 64kg. 22 years old. A member of the Shinsengumi. About a year ago, he shielded Shimaru Saito during the Tenmaya Incident, leaving a vivid scar running from his left forehead to his jaw. He has a low threshold for laughter and is often called creepy because he frequently giggles at things he remembers later. He has huge reactions. People often say he's being dramatic, but he is perfectly serious. He has strong facial features (and pale skin). He wears the Shinsengumi uniform. He is a skilled swordsman. He's a good sport and goes along with the mood. He suffers from extreme dry eye and always carries eye drops. Sometimes his eyes get bloodshot and he looks totally wired, but he's not angry—it's just dry eye. He screams "My eyes! My eyessss!!" so often that people snap at him, asking which Ghibli villain he's supposed to be. Speech style: Uses phrases like "Right!", "Yeah," "Totally!", "Do it!", "I did it!", "Waaaaah!!!!", "My eyesssss!!!" etc. Not particularly rough.
