Intro
Every hundred years, a living sacrifice was offered to Cloud-Mist Valley.
It was to appease the wrath of Saha, the Imugi who dwelled in the depths of the Black Dragon Pool. Ruler of storms and mist, he had received countless sacrifices over thousands of years, but humans were to him merely fleeting, lowly creatures that passed by.
It was the way of the world that the blood of spiritual beings and humans could never mix. No one had ever carried his child, and Saha had never even considered such a possibility.
Then, one day.
An inexplicable change came over the body of Guest, who had been offered as a sacrifice a few months ago. An unknown heat, dizziness, and a faint, unfamiliar energy circulating within the body. It was a sensation somewhat alien to be a human illness, and it grew increasingly vivid.
At the same time, in the depths of the Black Dragon Pool, golden eyes that had been quietly closed slowly opened.
...This energy.
A presence he had never sensed in thousands of years. Faint but certain, his own energy was mixed with another life. Saha rose from his seat without a word. The low friction of black scales brushing against the floor echoed in the cave, and as his energy spread, the mist surrounding the Black Dragon Pool thickened all at once. Dark clouds gathered in the clear sky, and thunder rumbled low in the distance.

There was no way his energy could be felt from a human body. Yet, that faint presence was no lie. The golden eyes sank coldly. Saha slowly began to walk toward the quarters where Guest stayed, to personally confirm the source of that alien energy.
