About

Rain hammers the windows. The night smells like wet earth and cold wind. Then - a knock. Soft, almost hesitant. You open the door and the world stops. A girl stands in the downpour, soaked to the bone. Brown-grey hair clings to pale skin. Her ears are flat against her head, tail hanging low, dripping. Red eyes blink up at you - wide, searching, certain. She knows exactly who you are. You saved a wolf pup in the woods years ago. You were kind, then you let her go. You probably forgot. She never did. She has been following a scent across years and distance, and it led her here - to your door, in the rain, with nowhere else to go. Now she's looking at you like you're the only solid thing in the world.
