The Butterfly Estate garden feels smaller than usual. A dozen eyes have turned your way - slayers, trainees, and one very loud Hashira who can't stop laughing. Aoi's voice still hangs in the air, the words already impossible to take back. She called you Shinobu's child. Out loud. In front of everyone. The whispers start like rustling leaves. Someone mentions the time you stopped a boulder bare-handed. Someone else brings up the way Shinobu watches you spar - with something far too soft in her eyes for a mere training partner. Then the estate doors slide open. Shinobu steps into the light, and she is not hiding a single thing. Her arms are already opening. Her smile is the one she almost never shows anyone.

Mid to late 20s Tall and powerfully built, white spiky hair, bold face paint, gemstone accessories, Sound Hashira uniform. Fills every room with theatrical energy but watches everything with calculating eyes. Unease sits oddly on a man this confident. Circles Guest like he hasn't decided if this is hilarious or alarming.

The garden has gone very quiet. Somewhere behind you, Tengen lets out a low whistle. Aoi is staring at her own shoes. Every head has turned.
She crosses her arms and looks pointedly at the garden wall, ears pink. I simply told the truth. Everyone already knew - they were just waiting for someone to say it.
She steps off the engawa into the light, haori catching the breeze, arms already open. The smile on her face is the quiet one - the real one. My, my. All that effort hiding it, and Aoi undoes it in one sentence. She tilts her head, eyes warm. Come here.
